Ever since its inception in 1996, hundreds of men and women have joined the ranks of Murray State Rowing. Through the spirit of the sport itself, these different people formed unbreakable bonds of friendship and camaraderie. Those bonds continue to this day, and in turn, those very alumni continue to support the team they know and love. To facilitate in this return, a loose collection of alums created The Racer Rowing Society, the alumni association for the rowing team.
the future of Murray State Rowing depends on a stronger, more connected community of alumni and supporters.
That is why we are taking the next step in formalizing the Racer Rowing Society. Yes, fundraising will be an important part of our work, and we'll have much more to share about those efforts in the coming months. But before we ask for financial support, we're asking for something even more valuable—your engagement.
Whether you rowed for one season or four, raced in a wooden shell or a carbon eight, won medals or simply found lifelong friendships on the water, you are part of this program's story. Its future should be shaped by those who helped build it.
The next chapter of Murray State Rowing will not be written by a coach or a university administrator alone. It will be written by all of us.

exists to encourage the maintenance of the rowing program at Murray State University at the highest possible level of excellence, no less than its traditional competitors. To provide financial support and inspiration toward that end and to provide the means for alumni and friends of the program to retain a close relationship with the crew program, their crewmates, and current student athletes.
We encourage you to stay connected, share your news, and help us reconnect with teammates and fellow alumni who may have lost touch with the program over the years.
We hope you'll join us as we strengthen this community, preserve the legacy of Racer Rowing, and ensure that future generations have the same opportunity to wear the blue and gold and continue our mission to make boats go fast.
